Spotlight on the Board!

Craig Iansiti PRESIDENT:
Craig Iansiti – Janet and I have been members of the club since 2005, when Janet purchased her 1982 coupe. Since then we have added a 1993 coupe and a 2004 coupe to our stables. I served as Vice President/Competition Director in 2007. I have been semi-retired since 1992 and Janet retired December first of this year. We hope to now spend more time travelling with our Vettes, visiting our children and grandchildren who live from mid-Michigan to southern Georgia to northern California.

I have been a performance nut since birth, I think. Along the way I have owned, built up, or destroyed a 1955 Ford sedan, 1955 Chevy Power Pack hardtop, 1958 BB Power Pack Chevy convertible, 1959 Ford hardtop, 1961 MGA, 1961 MG Midget, 1967 Chevy BB S/S hardtop, ------more in between and after I can’t remember, plus motorcycles, speedboats, and sailboats . No sense slowing down now.

Running for President of this wonderful club is my way of giving back for all the great times we have enjoyed with our fantastic new friends. My greatest wish is that I, along with a wonderful Board, can help continue the club legacy of happy members doing together what they enjoy most – driving, showing, and tinkering with their Corvettes. Throw in a few great eateries along the way, and we’re in for another fun year.

Terry Burke GOVERNOR / VICE PRESIDENT:
Terry Burke – I, and my wife Chris, have been members of the Club since 2004. We had purchased a 1992 dark red convertible, and felt we wanted to share our passion for Corvettes with others. We found the CCCC to be exactly the type of people that share our passions, that being food and Corvettes!

I look forward to serving the club in the role of Governor another year, and hope to add something to the club's proud history.

And, I think we're going to stay with our current 2000 Corvette convertible, Torch Red of course!

Rich BratschiCOMPETITON DIRECTOR:
Rich Bratschi – My high school sweet heart Colleen and I just celebrated our thirty sixth wedding anniversary. We have three great kids that are all grown now, so we are looking forward to life on our own with less work and more fun.

Colleen and I have been members since 1999. We joined shortly after purchasing our 1999 white convertible. Colleen and I have both been on the board before and this will be my second go at competition director. I look forward to a fun year with lots of events to enjoy our corvettes and each other.

Scott BauriesEDITOR:
Scott Bauries – Thank you all for your vote of confidence in electing me to be the new editor. Many of you don’t know me since I’m quite new to the club, but I must say that of all the clubs and organizations I’ve been associated with over the years, this club has been the most welcoming.

My hope for this new year is to bring a newcomers view to our newsletter with not only the great content that has been included in years past, but also some new things. I will try to bring Technical News, National and Regional news along with our local news and charitable contributions news. As members, The Connection is your newsletter. Articles, topics of interest and suggestions are greatly appeciated.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR:
Angela Hyde Angela Hyde – I live in Eaton Rapids and joined the club in 2004. At that time I drove a 1996 Dark Metallic Purple Corvette. I am currently in-between Vettes. I enjoy family, friends, food and fun.

I am a second generation club member. My parents, among a few other relatives, were members back in the early 1970's. So the first position I hold is the Club Historian. I am the current Membership Director of the club also. So if you know of anyone interested in joining the club, please feel free to put them in contact with me. I am always more than happy to sign up new members.

POINTS DIRECTOR:
Ted Lasher Ted Lasher – My wife, Julie and I are transplanted Missourians (by way of Oklahoma) now living in Howell and have been CCCC members since April 2006. At that time we had a 1992 polo green coupe. We joined the club to have more excuses to drive our Corvette and CCCC seemed to offer lots of opportunities. With the help of the club, we put over 50,000 miles on the '92 in just over 2 years before moving on to a magnetic red 2001 coupe. By joining the club we have met many great people - all with the good taste and intelligence to own Corvettes.

We have a daughter, 2 granddaughters, a son and a daughter-in-law - and a dog. They all live in the Kansas City area (except the dog). I tend to document all my interests in photographs and like to share pictures from many of the club events that I attend.

I have always been "into" cars that I consider interesting. For me, that has mostly meant sports cars (MG's, Fiat's, Miata, Fiero GT) but also things like a 1962 & 1963 aluminum V8 Cutlass, 1965 Corvair Corsa, 1947 Ford V8 pickup and a Renault 17 Gordini. I currently own a 1962 Pontiac Tempest convertible with the slant-4 engine, "rope" drive shaft and 4-speed transaxle.

This will be my second year on the board and I appreciate any comments or feedback anyone would like to offer.

PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR:
Simon Reiffer Simon Reiffer – Gloria and I have been members of CCCC since the spring of 1994, one year after we bought our white 1977 Corvette. We have been involved in all sorts of events over the years and have made many good friends within the club and from around the country through the Michigan Region events and by attending NCCC conventions. I've always enjoyed the comradery of the club and organization.

I am returning to the position Public Relations Director for 2010. I have held this position in previously 2002, 2003 and 2009. I served the club as President in 2004 and 2005

I look forward to serving the club again this year. Something to remember - this is your club and to make it fun and successful the Board needs the help of all members.
